Exam coming soon...17th August

This song is not bad actually, so...i post it up...
I've found how to get to her nowI'll whisper in her ear when she's asleepAnd beg her to love meWhen the morning comes she'll never knowCause right now I think I'm on my way outI've been tying bells to window screensSo I can hear her leave in the morningBut it never helps (And I never know)Where you like to go when you're all aloneAnd why you can't be reached, does anybody know? You're breaking up again,Are you listening to anything I've said?Tell me where you areAnd I'll find youTell me what it takes to see this throughTell me what it takes to get to youAnd I'll be there waitingOhoh ohoh ohoh whoaShe sees through any move that I useSee I've been falling head over her heelsSo when she disappears she knows I'll be here waiting upSo I'll vow the moment that she leaves townI'll be hopping trains to get away and try to save faceBut I know it's never far enough(Still I never know)Where you like to go when you're all aloneAnd why you can't be reached, does anybody know? You're breaking up again,Are you listening to anything I've said?Tell me where you areAnd I'll find

After my work at 6pm, i was planning to have fun at MJC fun fair with my few fellow friends...but!!...suddenly the appointment that i was suppose to have with my customer at 2pm came. So delayed my time till 8.30pm...Pity my friends, they have to wait me for a bout 1 and a half hour at my salon. Eventually one of them also helped me to blow dry my customer's hair. So i was grateful to her. So after that we went to the fun fair. We ate quite a lot. I bought 5 sticks of "siewbi". They orderd taiwan sausages and "char kueh". We shareed our food..wahhaha...So after that, we went to ply bumper car!!!!...It was really fun, with me being the one who chase and knocked them..wahaha...So after that, we went on to ply those lame games which wasted my $$ bout rm50 that nite?...including foods and drinks la...After running about the fair, i finally decided to try the "rocket". Wow....it was really SHIOK!!!!...At first, i thought it was nothing...BUt...after the 1st swing, it was totally out of my control....i felt like i was a mouse in a rocking cage..being thrown up and down the cage..so i got dizzy after it...my friend , Beatrice even video-ed it while I'm riding that thing....lol....This is my first time riding that thing...and it was hell of an experience.....>XD

Gathering of with my exclassmates

At first, i was planning to organise a gathering with my exclassmates last Sunday afternoon, and it turns out that my plans have been falling into places. So i invited, Jeremy, Lee kwang, Wilson, and Jin. Henry, Berlin, RAndall, Ah long and Jasmine followed us together too. I told them that they were to meet infront of Hartz as our gathering point. So, the did so. At first, each one of them making stupid excuses such as " dun wan go la..i felt a bit sick...bla bla bla"...That time i was busy with my work. They suddenly called and making those excuses. It really pissed me off! So, the 1st victim of my temper was Lee Kwang. I scolded him for giving me silly excuses. He said that wilson doesn't want to follow us due to shity reasons(as alwasys). ^.^ After i scolded LK, he went to call wilson and release his temper at wilson. Haha...So then finally wilson followed. If i didnt scolded them, i think this gathering would be gone and it will make me really angry with them coz of "last minute cancelling" since JJ and JIn reached the gather point dy. We were suppose to meet at 12.30pm. But due to my work, i went there around 1.45pm to meet with them.

After that we went to bowling at riverside. We played 1 game. 6 players, which includes me, JJ, LK, Wil, Jin and Berlin. Berlin scored the highest with around 3 strikes, while i got 2nd and JJ got 3rd. They last "winner" goes to LK...>hehehehhe<

Jin act cool under the hot sun...

The last shot on the other side....so chun ...XD...wilson is slap/spank/pinc-ing JJ..XD

The pictures tell it all.....d^.^b........Wonderful experience.......Looking forward to another gathering.....

I'm currently into Beat Boxing lately....Curiously wants to know more bout it....so here's the technique...so hopu all readers can learn from it...

Basic Beatbox Techniques
Three basic sounds and the beat1. Learn how to make the classic kick drum {b}, hi-hat {t} and classic snare drum {psh}. (more about this below)2. Combine the three sounds into an 8-beat such as this: { b t psh t / b t psh t } or {b t psh t / b b psh t }3. Concentrate on getting the timing right. If you make a mistake, keep going, do not stop or pause.4. Start off slowly and build up speed once you can do the 8-beat without losing timing. When you start getting really good start the t sound b sound and the pft sound they are the simplest beat boxing technices!
The classic kick drum {b}The simplest way to make the classic kick drum is to say the letter 'b'.To make it sound louder and punchier, you need to do what we call a lip oscillation. This is where you let air vibrate through your lips - a bit like 'blow a raspberry'. Once you can do this, you make a very short lip oscillation.1. Make the b sound as if you are saying b from the word bogus.2. This time, with your lips closed, let the pressure build up.3. You need to control the release of you lips just enough to let them vibrate for a short amount of time.
The hi-hatclosed {t}1. Make a simple "ts" sound but have your teeth closed or lightly closed.2. Move the tip of your tongue forward behind your front teeth for a thin hat sound and to the traditional t position for a heavy hat sound.open {ts}1. Make a simple t sound but have your teeth lightly closed.2. Move the tip of your tongue forward behind your front teeth for a thin hat sound and to the traditional t position for a heavy hat sound.3. Breath out for longer to create the open hat sound. You can also do successive hi-hats by making a "tktktktk" sound, using the mid-back of your tongue to make the "k" sound. You can make an open hi-hat sound by drawing out the breath in the "ts" hi-hat, so it's more like "tssss" for a more realistic open hat sound.
Another way of producing a realistic high-hat sound is to make a "ts" sound with your teeth clenched.
The classic snare drum {p}The simplest way of making a classic snare sound is to say the letter 'p'. However, making a 'p' sound is too quiet. To make it louder you can do several things. The first is to make a lip oscillation. This is where you push the air out of your lips making them vibrate. The second is where you breath out at the same time making a [ ph ] sound. To make the 'p' sound more interesting and more snare-like, most beatboxers add a second fricative (continuous) sound to the initial 'p' sound: pf ps psh bk.Variation {pf}It is similar to the bass drum, only you use the very front of your lips instead of the side, and you tighten them more.1. Pull your lips in a bit so that your lips are sort of hidden, as if you had no teeth.2. Build up a little air pressure behind the hidden lips.3. Swing your lips out (not literally swing) and just before they return to their normal position (un-hidden), release the air with a "P" sound.4. Immediately after you release the air and get the P sound out, tighten your bottom lip up against your bottom teeth to make a "fff" sound.
Develop a good bass drum soundThis is done by pressing your lips together and building up pressure with your tongue and jaw, pushing your tongue forward from the back of your mouth and closing your opened jaw at the same time. Let your lips part toward the side for just a moment so the air can escape, and it should make a bass drum sound. You want to add pressure with your lungs, but not so much that you have an airy sound afterward. If you're not making a bassy enough sound, you need to relax your lips a bit. If your sound isn't making a bass drum sound at all, you need to tighten your lips, or make sure that you're doing it off to the side of your lips.Another way to approach it is to say "puh." Then, take off the "uh" so that all you hear is the initial attack on the word, so that it comes out like a little puff. Try your hardest to not let any of the "uh" sound come out, and also try to not have any breathy sound or air noise with it.Once you feel comfortable with that, you can slightly tighten your lips and force a larger amount of air through your lips to make a bigger sounding kick drum.
Another way to make a snare soundBring your tongue to the back of your mouth and build up pressure with your tongue or lungs. Use your tongue if you're looking for speed, or use your lungs if you want to breathe in at the same time as you make the sound. Try saying "pff," making the "f's" stop just a millisecond or so after the "p." Lifting the corners of your mouth and holding your lips really tight when making the initial "p" will help it sound more realistic. You can also use the same technique to change the apparent pitch of the snare.
Drum-machine snare soundFirst say "ish." Then, try saying "ish" without adding the "sh" at the end, again going only for the intial attack. Make it very staccato (short), and you should get a sort of grunt in the back of your throat. Push a little bit when you say it, so that it has a big, accented attack.Once you're comfortable with that, add the "sh" on the end and you'll get a synth-like snare sound. You can also work on moving the grunt so that it feels like it's coming from the top of your throat, for a higher drum sound, or so that it feels more like it's coming out of the lower part of your throat, for a lower drum sound.
The crash cymbalThis is one of the easier sounds to make. Whisper (don't say) the syllable "chish." Then, do it again, but this time clench your teeth and take the vowel out, going from "ch" straight to "sh" without little or no transition, and you'll have a basic crash cymbal.
The reversed cymbalPlace the tip of your tongue so that it touches the place where your top teeth meet your palate. Keeping your lips about a half-inch apart, breath in forcefully through your mouth. Notice how the air blows past your teeth and tongue and makes a sort of small rushing sound. Then, breath in forcefully again, and this time close your lips as your breathing in; they should sort of feel like they're popping closed, without making a popping sound.
BreatheYou would be surprised at the number of human beatboxers who pass out because they forget that their lungs need oxygen. You may want to start by incorporating your breath into the beat. Eventually you will gain a great deal of lung capacity throughout your practice. An intermediate technique is to breathe in during a tongue snare, since it requires the least amount of lung capacity. An expert will have slowly practiced breathing whilest beatboxing each sound independently (see previous step), thus separating their breathing from the beat, allowing several kinds of bass sounds, snare sounds, and even some hi-hat sounds to continue without pause. As an alternative to breating exercises, there are many sounds that can be done breathing inwards such as variations on the snare and handclap sounds.
Inward SoundsOne thing that puzzles people is how beatboxers can beatbox for a long time without actually taking a breath. Well, the answer is to make a sound and breathe in at the same time! We call these inward sounds. What is more, as you'll discover, some of the best sounds are made like this! There are many ways of making inward sounds. Nearly every sound that can be made outwards can be made inwards - although it may take some practice to get it right!
Holding the micMicrophone technique is very important for performing or if you just want to enhance the sound made by your mouth. And there are different ways of holding the microphone. Many beatboxers deliver poor performances because they hold the microphone incorrectly and thus they fail to maximise the power and clarity of the sounds they produce. While you can just hold the mic as you would while singing, some beatboxers find that putting the mic between your ring and middle fingers and then gripping it with your first two fingers on top of the bulb and your thumb at the bottom results in a cleaner, more crisp sound. Try not to breathe into the mic while you beatbox.

Advanced Beatbox Techniques
Here's where you'll find out how to do some of the more interesting techniques. Don't worry if you aren't getting it at first, all of these techniques will come with time.
Sweeping bass drum (X)This should be used in place of a bass drum. It takes about 1/2-1 beat to perform. To do a sweeping bass drum, start out like you're about to do a bass drum. Then let your lips loose so they flap when you push air past them. Then touch the tip of your tongue to the inside gum of your bottom teeth and push it forward to perform the technique.
Techno Bass (U)This is done by making an "oof" sound, as if you've just been hit in the stomach. Do it while keeping your mouth closed. You should be able to feel it in your chest.
Techno Snare (G)This is done the same way as the Techno Bass, but position your mouth as if you were going to make a "shh" sound. You'll still get the bass sound underneath.
ScratchingThis is done by reversing the airflow of any of the previous techniques. A commonly misunderstood technique, scratching involves different tongue and lip movements depending on the instrument you are trying to "scratch" with. To understand better, record yourself laying down a beat. Then using a music program, like windows recorder, listen to it in reverse. Learning to emulate those reversed sounds literally doubles your known techniques. Also, try making the sound, and then its reverse immediately afterwards (Ex: A bass sound followed by its reverse in quick succession make the standard 'scratch' noise).
Jazz BrushesLightly blow out through your mouth while trying to sustain the letter "f." By blowing slightly harder on the beats 2 and 4, you'll have the accents.
RimshotWhisper the word "kaw," then say it again without letting any of the "aw" through. Push on the "k" a little harder and you'll get a rimshot.
Click Roll (Kkkk)This is a very difficult technique to perform at first, but once you know how, you can use it any time. To start, position your tongue so that the right (or left, depending on preference) side is resting right above where your top teeth meet your gum. Then pull the back of your tongue toward the back of your throat to do a click roll.
Humming the Baseline and beatboxing at the same timeThis technique isn't as difficult as singing, but when you're just starting off, it is easy to get lost. To start, you must first realize that their are two ways to hum: one is from the throat (say "ahh") and the other is through the nose ("mmmmmm"), which is considerably harder to get used to but immeasurably more versatile. The key to humming and beatboxing at the same time is to start with a baseline or melody in mind. Listen to rap hooks, whether they be hummed or not (For example, listen to Parliament Funkadelic's "Flashlight" and practice humming the melody, then try beatboxing over top of it; James Brown is also great for melodies). Scour your music collection for baselines and melodies to hum, then try and put some of your beats or someone else's beats over top of it.It is necessary to learn how to hum a melody or baseline for several reasons, especially if you plan to learn to start singing. This is the area of beatboxing that takes some originality! If you've tried to beatbox and hum at the same time, you must have realized that you've lost of some of your proficiency with certain beat techniques (the Techno Bass and Techno Snare are severely limited, as well as the click roll becomes, if not totally unusable, very hard to hear). Learning what works takes time and practice. If you ever find yourself in a beatbox battle, don't forget that while your endurance and speed are important, using new and interesting melodies and baselines win always win the crowd.
Inward HummingThis is an advanced technique which is not widely used in the realm of beatboxing. There are several resources available on how to sing/hum inwards. For the purposes of beatboxing, when you need to breathe really bad, it may be a good idea to hum inwards. You can always continue humming the same melody, but the pitch (note) will change drastically. With practice, you can correct this pitch change to some extent, but many beatboxing experts who use inward humming decide to change the melody when switching from outward humming to inward humming.
Trumpet Sound1. Hum falsetto (that's high pitched - like Mickey Mouse).2. Lift the back of your tongue to make the sound thinner and sharper.3. Add a loose, lip oscillation (classic kick drum) to the front of each note.4. Close your eyes, let rip and pretend you are Louis Armstrong.
Singing and beatboxing at the same timeThis isn't a very hard technique, once you get to know the basic principles. The key to singing and beatboxing at the same time is to line up consonant sounds with the bass and vowel sounds with the snare. Don't try to add hi-hats in, as even the best beatboxers have trouble in that respect.

Worth Watching....

The Transformer 2( the rise of the fallen) is really worth watching... 2 and a half hour.. Well, i managed to book the tickets in the afternoon straight after school. Although it's in a rush, but it's worth it. The movie started at 7.30pm and ended at 10pm. I feel like watching the movie again.....But....haiz....bajet bajet...So guess i'll just buy pirated DVD instead. So after that, we( me,Lavine, Isaac) went to eat at 3rd mile de siang siang corner.. Then we meet Lyod, chris and other friends., so we chatted ...bla bla bla..actually they chatted. I didnt. I felt left out as always. coz they talked about churches stuff, youth meeting, christian songs etc. etc....and i admitted that i seldom go to church. So, i've got nothing to say. Or according to XYZ, i always talked bout serious topics and sometimes even talked bout lame jokes. This kinda make me also feel outdated. Argh!!...dun care lah...kinda stress recently, blood pressure increasing dramatically. Got to meditate or do some exercise...I found out that i seldom talk or laugh or smile recently....:(

Back To Shooting...

Went back to the marksman's house today. At 1st i thought that the place was renewed or renovated. So i was quite excited, untill i reach the shooting range.......such a disaster...the house that i used to have practice alot, have been roofless for at least one year already. The place was in a terrible condition for Sarawak's shooter..The question keeps running on my head, why the senior coach there doesn't complain or take any action regard this "disaster"?. According to my resources, the place was about to be renovate, but they said lack of $$ from the MSN. WHat the HEck!!!!....The condition was so bad in the shooting range that there was not enough pellets, no gas for the pistol, no target paper and others....We've got no choice....but to dry fire. I was very very disappointed with the condition over there... Haiz...During the one year time, i just wonder WHY!!!!...Not only no improvement, but disaster happened there.. I hope the director of MSN will read this post, and try to solve the problem. So far only less than 10 people went to the shooting range and practice. What a Pity!!!!...i'll post up the photos of the shooting range soon let them see what really happened. Before and after one year....

Day 2

13th, June 2009,

Wake up at 6am. We prepared our self for the morning exercise. We all gathered infront of the long house at 7.10am. We were suppose to gather at 7am. But we all "lo so lo so". Then the campo leader made us do pumping for 5 freaking time. Not the ordinary pumping but is according to timing de. But it's still fine with me. Can handle it well. Then we ran around the whole wild life centre. At 8am, we all were allowed to had our breakfast. After bathing again, we set out to go to the theatre room. The 3rd class were good. I've learn a lot of things and stuff bout music. So after the class, we had our lunch. We had curry and some vege. After that we had our rest in our room. During the class, we were ask to plan bout a drama or a song for the camp fire that night. So my plan was singing a song which made famous by "ah nui". The song title is " Tui mian de nu hai kan kuo lai" ( the girl opposite looking here). So we practice next to the theatre room, again and again. By 3pm, we still can't finish the play. So we decided to take a break and rest.

Music Camp 12th~14th June 2009

12th, June, 2009,

Wake up at 6am, ready my self by 6.45am. Reached at the gather point at 7.15am. I was kinda disappointed with the number of people that participate in the camp. Only about 13 people only, excluding the comittee member. So over all the camp is about 30 plus people only. Isaac went up to the destination first(Matang Wild Life Centre). So i mixed around with my newly meet friends. At first, i was thinking of bringing my guitar to the camp. But i change my mind the last minute, coz i scared my accidentally break my guitar. So, in the end i didn't bring it. The bus came at 8am. We arrived at Matang Wild Life centre at 8.45pm. We were given advices and intruction at the theatre hall till bout 12pm. Then we had lunch at 12.10pm. We checked in our room at 2pm. During the 2 hours time, i visted the exhibition hall next to the lobby. The hall displayed a lot of wild life animals such as "orang utan", snakes, leopard, turtle, eagle and others....Later on we checked in our room. I find that the room contains 4 beds. But only 3 of us per room. So it's confortable for me and my room mates. The two of my room mates are from Bintulu, they were having their holiday here in Kuching. And they saw the camp in the newspaper, so they decided to join in too. After putting our stuff in the room, we were asked to gather in front of the "long house"( which is infront of our rooms). We were given instructions bout the games that we were about to play. The first game was about getting all my group members in a piece of newspaper wihtout stepping out of it. Then after that followed by few other games which test our physical abilities and our cleverness of solving the problems. We then were allowed to take a rest at 4.30pm till 6pm to eat our dinner infront of our long house. At 7.30pmm, we were asked to go to the theatre hall again for the 2nd music class, the first class made me almost fell asleep earlier that day. But the 2nd class starts to draw my attention. So i enjoyed the 2nd lesson. Then bout 10.30pm, we had our supper at our long house. By 11pm, all lights were closed, we were ask to sleep early that night, as there were a lot of activities the next day....That's all for today....... To be continue.....

Sharp Enough?...no...Nge nge sharp...

Hahaahaha...This afternoon Lavine and her friend, Rachel, went to my salon to cut hair. Rachel the one do the perming and Lavine's the one who wants to cut short ..a.k.a "Bob". ..It took me the whole afternoon for me to design carefully her hair to avoid any mistake. The perming of Rachel's hair was simply satisfying my desire. XD....But Lavine's hair...hmmm quite a tough one, coz her hair is a bit curly at the end of the hair. So i have to plan carefully before i cut. It took me the afternoon just to cut her hair, inch by inch..XD..But overly the result was satisfying for her la..But for me la....I'm not sure....maybe my expectation is higher for my self.....

I'm not living my life as a teenager...

I'm not living my life as any other teenagers...It's like I've been living my life like a working adult...Kinda tiring actually. Feeling kida stress these days especially during holidays...I've been working 7 days a week. Not even night life for me. For example, last night, when i went out with my friends, I can't even get "involed" in the topic that they were talking about. I kinda felt left out..dT.Tb.....They seem to know much more places about Kuching, including the foods, places to shop, things to buy and others... But for me, my life has been very boring.....Hope that God will answer to my prayer.....Anyway, there's not much to say now in this post.By the way, I'm going to Music Camp this comin 12th to 14th. I hope this trip will be smooth and fun and most importantly, i can get away from town for a few days. Probably to release my stress. Besides, hope that i can make more friends during the camp.....XD

Happy Gawai to my natives friends in Sarawak!!..Gayu Guru Gerai Nyamai!!

Work off my ass!!

Friday, 29th of June 2009,
Started in the morning when customer came in and been busy the whole day doing rebonding, cutting, colouring and etc.... Gawai is just around the corner so our Kuching "natives" friends are now rushing for their last minute race to tidy up before Gawai. I worked untill 9.30pm that day if i'm not mistaken. Tired, tired, tired..but this is much more better, at least i get to improve my cutting technique and i funally overcome my fear of cutting a "Bob" when i manage to shape out and 'I-look' which i learned in advance cutting when i was in the cutting course.

Saturday, 30th of June 2009,
I reach the salon at 10am sharp. Preparing stuff such as cleaning the glass, mirror, moping the floor and etc... suddenly a bunch of customer came in, one needs a cut and one needs to rebond her hair.. ok, i was able to handle aunty de hair already as i've learned the technique before. Then, customer came in one by one untill the whole salon is full by that time. I was quite in a rush anyway, wasn't able to sms to my friend. So in the end i ended up fnishing eating my "lunch" at 5.30pm with just a bowl of laksa which my dad made in the morning. So i eventually finish my work at 9pm after a client that requires rebonding for her hair was very vry think and long. It took 2 hrs and 55 minutes for the work to be done. At the end of the day the record was break. Althought i'm very very very exhausted, but I'm glad that the income have increase much much more..d^.^b....

Sunday, 31th of June 2009,
Today is the day before Gawai. And it's 9.18am now. I'm still at home blogging. Hahahaha. Withe the power of God i shall overcome today or what ever challenges that i will face today..............TO be continue........

When you look me in the eyes

Yeah!!!..Holiday starting next week!!...hurray!!...so anyway, i really need to improve my cutting skill by practicing on real people...The colour that i ordered from the wella salesman still haven arrive yet. This make me lodge a complain against the company for offering such a POOR SERVICE....haiz..anyway, I heard this song on the net not long ago, although it;s kinda old, but it still sounds nice..well, at least to me.
P/S: I'm wondering whether she'll be going to the camp or not. But i hope she does...d^.^b...

La Beaute Expo '09

Reach there at 10am. All of my team members were given a talk by the “boss” over there. Me, Dickkie and Agnes were assigned as the booth’s sales person. We were given a price list of all the items that we are selling for the 3 days exhibition. We got a promotion of “BUY 1 FREE 1” for every
Item.

We are selling hair dryer, curling tonnes, straightening iron. We got a very special limited edition of a straightening iron. According to my teacher, only less than 100 sets are sold in Asia.

These are the hair dryers.

These are the curling tones comes with different sizes depends what type of curl the customer wants.
Besides that we are also selling cosmetics provided by “The Office”

These were the costly cosmetics…XD

This is my booth. Models were being make-up by make-up artist.

Pictures of high fashion models doing finger waving by our stylists.

Side stage before the main event

This is the “most” attractive hair colour from our booth.

Trade mark for high fashion.

Finally the main event of the day,
It all started with a group of dancers from Pontianak, Indonesia. Their dances were simply amazing, their moves looks so natural. I would give them applauses if my hands weren’t occupied that time.

The dancers
Besides the dancers, the music band also plays an important role in their dances. So, applauses to them once again.

The rest are pictures models of “night safari”

With this , I came to my conclusion of his post…thx for viewing…XD
